Yes, you can book a free welcome session. To access it, simply register on our website. Log in to your Callan Online account and follow the instructions. After the free welcome session, you can purchase a plan, but you are not obliged to do so.

The eBook and unlimited access to the app with interactive exercises are included with your plan purchase.

Yes! Your teacher will conduct a level test during the free welcome session. The result will be saved in your profile, and your lessons will automatically start at the stage that suits you.

The teacher will ask you some questions and, by listening to your answers, will assess your vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. The test starts with easier questions and gradually increases in difficulty.

If you have trouble understanding or answering, don’t worry—the teacher will guide you and let you know which stage is right for you.

All you need is a quiet, comfortable place to focus, a good internet connection, and a suitable device with a camera and microphone.

No. The free welcome session is to let you see how Callan works and whether you’d like to continue. We have a “no strings attached” policy: if you like it, you continue; if not, you can stop with no obligation.

Callan Online lessons are intensive one-to-one sessions with native-speaking teachers.

During a typical lesson:

• The teacher asks questions quickly, and you answer in full sentences, receiving immediate corrections.
• The focus is on speaking and listening, not long grammar explanations.
• No preparation is required beforehand.
• Each lesson lasts 25 minutes and follows a structured, stage-based programme. Short lessons help maintain focus and fit easily into your daily routine.

You will always see results after each lesson, and progress is continuous.

The Callan Method is designed to guide beginners step by step, starting with simple words and phrases, so even if you have no prior knowledge, you can follow along confidently.

Pricing depends on how many lessons you choose and how often you study. Larger plans usually reduce the cost per lesson.

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule any booked lesson at least 12 hours in advance. When you cancel a lesson, the credit used to reserve it will be returned to your account. If there are fewer than 12 hours before the class begins, it cannot be cancelled or rescheduled. Try to attend so that your credit is not lost!

Your plan has expired. Each plan has an expiry date according to the time period indicated in the description of each plan.

“Progress Plans” are valid for 4 weeks, while “Lesson packs” are valid for 3 months. Credits that are not used before the expiry date will expire and will not be refunded.

We can extend your plan on an exceptional basis if you need a break for one of the following reasons: – holidays; – illness; – natural disasters; – war; family situation; – unexpected changes in life circumstances. To request the extension, send us a message before your plan expires explaining your situation. Our team will assess your case and, depending on the plan you have purchased, may offer you one or several additional weeks. Please note that this extension is granted only in exceptional circumstances and does not replace or equal the original duration of the plan.

The order may be cancelled within 7 days after purchase, unless at least one class has been delivered meeting the following criteria:

• The teacher started the class within five minutes of the booked time (regardless of the time the student joined).
• The connection between teacher and student was satisfactory, meaning both could see and hear each other clearly.
• The teacher delivered the class correctly according to the Callan Method and in accordance with the student’s individual plan.
• The class finished at the scheduled time (25 minutes after the planned start) or, at most, one minute before the finishing time.

If any of these conditions are not met, you may request a full refund.

No. We recommend booking lessons with different teachers. Everyone speaks slightly differently, so interacting with different people will help you get used to different accents and speech patterns. This will give you the flexibility and confidence to have conversations with different interlocutors outside class!

Yes. If you have one or two favourite teachers, you can book all your lessons with them.

Yes, all Callan Online teachers are native speakers of the language they teach.

No. The eBooks are included in the price of any plan, and the corresponding eBook for the Stage you need will be added to your account. One-to-one lessons with native teachers and unlimited access to the Callan App exercises are also included with the purchase of your plan.

The eBooks are useful for reviewing the material between classes. You can read and listen to material that you have already learned in class.

Do not read the book during the class. The important thing is to remain focused on the language you are learning.

Do not read the book in advance. The basic premise of the Callan Method is that when you learn new vocabulary, you first hear it and pronounce it before seeing it written.

Read only the pages that have already been covered during the lessons. Do not learn the answers by heart. If you remember all the answers, you will say them automatically without thinking about them. This will make the lessons easier, but it will not help you develop your confidence and language skills outside the lessons.

For copyright reasons, the eBooks cannot be printed.

Likewise, the eBooks are not available in PDF format. Like printing or downloading, this could be considered copying, which is not possible due to copyright law.

Progress depends on consistency. Students who take several lessons per week often notice improvements in confidence and fluency within a few weeks because they speak continuously during lessons.

Many learners choose between 3,5 or 10 lessons per week. Intensive schedules accelerate progress, while lighter plans support steady improvement.

Each Callan Method course is divided into several parts or Stages. Each stage contains a carefully selected range of grammar and vocabulary, from the most basic in Stage 1 to the more advanced in the following stages. The stages vary in length, so each stage will require a different number of classes.

After completing a stage (exam + full revision), contact us and we will send you an official Callan certificate confirming the dates of your course and the Callan Method stage you have completed.

Children over 12 years old can take our regular General English course and the regular Spanish course.

Currently we do not have a specific Spanish course for children, but depending on the child’s age, they may start with our Spanish course.
